Employee Spotlight
When Joe joined Oculus back in August 2018 as a Trainee Engineer, the journey ahead was full of potential. Fast forward to today, and that potential has been well and truly realised.
Within three years, Joe had progressed to Senior Engineer – a milestone that brought not just greater technical responsibility, but a new role in shaping the next generation of talent at Oculus. Joe became a key figure in maintaining the high standards the company is known for.
Over time, it became clear that Joe’s skills extended well beyond the technical. A natural ability to communicate and collaborate at a senior management level saw him gradually step into a broader leadership role, bridging the gap between operational delivery and strategic oversight.
Today, Joe heads up Oculus’s dedicated CCTV Systems and Access Control division as Operations Manager – leading a specialist team of experienced installers who between them have delivered projects across a wide range of sectors and environments. It’s a division built around genuine expertise, where every engineer on the ground shares the same commitment to quality that Joe has embodied from day one.
And when it comes to CCTV, there really isn’t much Joe doesn’t know. From designing systems that eliminate blind spots to ensuring optimal camera placement for maximum coverage, he brings a level of technical authority that runs through everything the division delivers. That knowledge filters down through the team, meaning clients benefit from a consistent, high standard of work – whether it’s a single-site installation or a complex multi-location project.
From trainee to division lead, Joe’s journey is a testament to what dedication and passion for the work can achieve – and if you’re looking for a CCTV or access control solution that’s done properly, you’re in very safe hands.
